With Hollywood’s most hilarious ladies Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosting the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards, the presentation was revamped from a typical awards show to a fabulous evening of pure entertainment. The comedians’ amazing performance—not to mention funny cameos from other A-listers—is receiving high praise among critics and viewers alike!

Aside from the memorable moments and award winners (a big congratulations goes out to all the talented victors who took home a shiny Golden Globe), all eyes were of course on the attendees’ red carpet fashions! Although we would love to gush over the gals’ elegant gowns and the guys’ dapper suits, we are more obsessed with the A-listers’ most spexy accessory: eyewear!

We wish we saw more fashionistas adding flavor to their peepers with specs or sunnies, but we were happy to spot Helena Bonham Carter wearing cat-eye shades with dark amber lenses. At her side was the infamous Tim Burton also in sunglasses, which had a Clubmaster-inspired shape. Many of the industry’s other leading men were also on par when it came to eyewear…

Christoph Waltz, who was awarded for his brilliant performance in “Django Unchained,” looked polished in geek chic specs (we loved his shorter haircut too)! Meanwhile, white-haired fox Richard Gere was sporting his usual rimless glasses;  infamous director Steven Spielberg, whose brainchild “Lincoln” was nominated for a few awards, wore perfectly round specs; and goofy kid star Rico Rodriguez of “Modern Family” rocked sophisticated rectangular frames. Sunglasses also proved popular, with “Skyfall” star Daniel Craig staying shady in jet black wayfarer sunnies, and P. Diddy in super dark shades with silver temple detailing.

And that’s not all. Check out our other favorite presenters, winners and attendees rocking eyewear at last night’s show below.
