‘Twas a night for the musical ages, as the industry’s most badass artists swarmed the MGM Grand Garden Arena in the glorious Las Vegas for the one-and-only 2014 Billboard Music Awards! As always, the show was filled with memorable moments—like Michael Jackson’s hologram appearance—and deserving recognitions. A huge congrats goes to all the lucky winners, especially Justin Timberlake for snagging chief honors for Top Artist and Top Billboard 200 Album for “The 20/20 Experience.”
Of course, the evening’s fabulous performances had our ears in a state of constant happiness. But our eyes were peeled for something much spexier, aside from the glam fashions on the red carpet: eyewear, duh! Mad props go to the stars who rocked seriously stylish specs and sunnies at the soirée. A slew of silhouettes—from aviators and wayfarers, to perfect rounds and daring shields—ran the gamut, not to mention tinted, blacked-out and flash lenses, subtly chic accents, and a mostly onyx and gold palette.
