Big wins, grateful acceptance speeches, gorgeous fashions and a fun-loving atmosphere—that’s how we’d sum up last night’s 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards! Decked out in their most glamorous garb, television’s top-notch stars flooded the infamous Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles to celebrate the best of the best in the industry, with funny guy Seth Meyers as their host. “Breaking Bad” stole the show, taking home a whopping five awards, including top honors for “Outstanding Drama Series.” The show’s main man Bryan Cranston shocked the audience with his ambushed make-out session with Julia Louis-Dreyfus—how hilarious was that? And of course, Billy Crystal’s emotional tribute to the late Robin Williams was truly touching.
Amid the shindig’s many memorable moments, we were left swooning over the celebrities’ seriously amazing outfits. And, of course, there’s no better way to accessorize a glitzy look than with fabulous eyewear! Gents ‘n’ ladies alike rocked their best specs and sunnies on the red carpet. Retro-inspired square silhouettes, dapper rounds with keyhole bridges and chunky rectangular profiles proved to be must-haves. Meanwhile, clear and gray washes with translucent finishes were trending, not to mention classic jet black hues!
