Occupation: Producer, music team at America’s Got Talent

Spotted: Melrose Ave.

Where are you from:
I’m originally from Dallas but I’ve lived in Los Angeles for the past 10 years.

What she likes most about LA: There is never a lack of fun things to do, places to explore, and new restaurants to try in LA. Some of my favorite places are Republique, Sushi by H, Doheny Room, El Cholo, Laurel Hardware, Cecconi’s for happy hour, and the Dime for drinks and great music! I also love the diversity and the history of this city!

What she does for fun: Since I scout music for a living, being out and about at shows is both fun and work for me. There is so much music to be heard in LA at multiple venues on any given night. Some of my favorites are the Theater at the Ace Hotel (I just saw Wilco perform there), the Terragram (a beautiful, brand new space next to one of my favorite bars, Monty’s), No Name on Fairfax (a private, invite-only music venue and dinner club), and The Greek Theatre, which is outdoors and nestled into the hills. You almost forget you are in the second largest city in the US.

As far as my daytime activities go, I try to force myself to hike because everyone here is obsessed with it, but in reality I am more of an indoor kitty. My favorite hiking area right now is Wattles Park, mainly because it’s a well-kept space, never crowded, and has a fantastic dog park. I love to exercise indoors, mixing pilates, yoga, and running on the treadmill. I also love to cook and I volunteer with the Junior League of Los Angeles.

Outfit: I’m wearing denim skinny jeans by Frame and my shirt is T by Alexander Wang. My heels are Vince and my trapeze bag is Céline. My earrings are David Yurman, my ring is Jude Francis, and I found my necklace at a market in London. This is my perfect outfit for a lunch meeting in LA, which is where I am heading to meet my boss. The style here is relaxed and casual with a touch of glam. Since I work in entertainment, pretty much anything goes as far as work attire. but I still like to look polished so I dressed up my jeans with heels and accessories. It’s all about laid-back fashion, not trying too hard but still looking on point.

Personal style: I’d say my personal style is chic but comfortable and feminine with a touch of edge. I love to combine high and low fashion. I mainly focus on classic staples – the essentials that I can mix and remix repeatedly. I will spice those up with any current trend I am particularly feeling. This season, I’m on the hunt for the perfect nude, leather calf-hugging boot, and a great poncho or cape. Chokers and bodysuits are definitely the biggest trends in LA right now.

Where she shops: I am not much of an online shopper, I like to go to the actual store and try on clothes for myself without the hassle of returning items that don’t work. I love Cusp by Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Reformation on Melrose Ave. for investment pieces. I can count on these stores to carry the latest trends. Vince fulfills my love of neutrals and amazing structured basics. Brandy Melville and Zara have great prices and Nasty Gal always brings the edge.

What’s in her eyewear wardrobe: I seriously love all sunglasses and will try out just about any style. I gravitate towards aviator and a rounded, cat-eye silhouette because they flatter my facial structure. I usually stick with a neutral beige or tortoiseshell finish but lately I am craving huge, intense Kim Kardashian-esque blackout style sunglasses. They’re perfect to shield me from the blinding flashes of the non-existent paparazzi that follow me everywhere!

Eyewear: Jordan is on top all the latest fall fashion trends. She’s wearing Zenni’s tortoiseshell cat-eye frames featuring a gold, double bridge-bar detailing and a gray gradient lens.

Name: Stephanie

Occupation: Commercial real estate agent

Spotted: Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills

Where are you from: I’ve lived all over the world but currently reside in Beverly Hills. I’ve lived in LA on and off for around 7 years and I went to college here.

What she likes most about LA: The sunshine! I like that LA has a faster pace than my hometown in Northern California but it’s still more laid back than cities like New York or Hong Kong. And who doesn’t love the simple conveniences like Postmates? It’s great to come home after a long day at work and order a great meal or froyo straight to my front door.

What she does for fun: I like going out to eat at restaurants. LA has so many great places to dine. Some of my regular spots are brunch at the Four Season hotel, lunch at La Scala, Madeo for dinner, sushi at Sasabune, and Korean BBQ at Parks in K-Town. As far as activities, I love going to the beach. In the summertime, one of my favorite things to do is drive up PCH to Malibu and enjoy a day on Carbon Beach.

Outfit: I just left work so this what I typically wear to the office. My white peplum top is Banana Republic and my black skirt is from Brooks Brothers. My jacket is Forever 21. It’s super lightweight which is perfect for the LA heat. My little black clutch is YSL and it can double as a shoulder bag. My nude stilettos are by Jimmy Choo. I was wearing black Repetto flats in the office earlier but I swapped them because it’s date night and I’m meeting my fiance for dinner. My watch is a Cartier Ballon Bleu and I got my Black Druzy necklace from a trunk show at Terranea Spa in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Personal style: I’d describe my personal style as classic and simple. In the past, I’ve tried to follow all the current trends but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve started leaning towards things that I can re-wear and mix and match. I will occasionally splurge on bags, jewelry, or shoes after a big deal closes though. I like outfits that can transition easily from work to dinner or date night. Normally, I don’t focus on brands or trends too much, I just want clothing that flatters my shape.

Where she shops: Recently, I’ve been shopping online more than in stores since it can be a pain to drive around LA in traffic and find parking. I like Zara, Nordstrom, and Saks Off 5th. I try to buy clothing that I can dress up for work or dress down for everyday wear.

What’s in her eyewear wardrobe: As far as sunglasses go, I prefer plastic frames over metal so I can wear them on top of my head. I always go for a brown or tortoiseshell finish, and I find that black is too bold on me. Generally, I go for a cat-eye or square silhouette, although my fiance just bought me a pair of oversized, round designer shades in Paris last week! So I’m finally mixing it up for fall. In terms of eyewear, I have red eyeglasses that I wear at night. My sister makes fun of me and says that I look like Sally Jesse Raphael in them but she secretly loves them now that bold, red frames are back in style. I’m also semi-seriously looking at transition lenses. I know they’re not that fashion-forward but they are so functional!

Eyewear: Stephanie is wearing Zenni’s premium oversized cat-eye frames in a tortoiseshell finish featuring an amber gradient tint.

Name: Zanna Messia

Occupation: Singer/songwriter and jazz performance major at UCLA. Check out her music on Soundcloud.

Spotted: On the UCLA campus in Westwood

Where are you from: I am based in Los Angeles and came here from Bosnia and Herzegovina via Sweden to pursue my artistic career. I’ve had my music featured in film and TV, and shortlisted for an Academy Award. I received a scholarship from UCLA to study jazz.

What she likes most about LA: The eclectic vibe of the people in LA is amazing. I also love the fact that I meet people from all around the world with different ethnic and religious backgrounds who all have one thing in common: they came here to make their dreams come true. It’s a beautiful thing!

What she does for fun: I love hanging out at the beach in Santa Monica and Malibu and practicing yoga at Power Yoga in Santa Monica. I find LA to be an awesome place for quick unplanned getaways to the beach. I also love going out to hear music and you’ll occasionally find me getting down with my girlfriends to hip hop music in Venice Beach.

Outfit: I’m wearing a summer tank top from American Apparel, low cut jeans shorts, and belt from Diesel. My floral kimono is from Forever 21. I bought my black purse in a specialty boutique in Italy and my gladiator sandals are from Sogno on Montana Ave. in Santa Monica.

Personal style: I love to feel relaxed and free with a touch of sophisticated. I let trends influence me but I do not religiously follow the newest thing on the catwalks. Instead, I try to express my individuality using current trends as inspiration.

Where she shops: I love vintage boutiques and cool jewelry stores like Wild Solstice in Santa Monica. Like most women, I will invest in a designer bag for a celebration. I travel a lot as a musician so I usually do my shopping on trips to different countries or when I have shows.

What’s in her eyewear wardrobe: I love to change it up with my eyewear. If I have a business meeting, you’ll find me wearing classic lines and black frames. If I’m hanging at the beach, I do like to get wet and prefer to hide behind oversized, funky colorful frames. As for every day, I wear frames that match my outfit.

Eyewear: Zanna is wearing a pair of Zenni’s statement cat-eye sunglasses in a matte, dusty pink frame with a gradient amber lens and gold temple detailing.
