This year marks Lafont’s 30th anniversary in North America, and they are celebrating in a big way with an exclusive pair of sunnies to commemorate the occasion. For more than 90 years the Lafont family has created eyewear inspired by Paris architecture, culture and citizens. The recently late Philippe Lafont set out in 1987 to establish the brand in North America as they had in Europe, all while continuing to make the eyewear entirely in France, and was wonderfully successful as popularity for the whimsical frames have grown year after year.

The 30th anniversary frame, aptly named “30”, is a true collector’s item with only 400 pairs being created and sold in select boutiques during spring and summer. Embellished with a cut out of the Statue of Liberty on one temple and the Eiffel Tower on the other, the brand’s heritage shines through. “Celebrating thirty years in North America is a great honor and privilege for our family and the entire team at Lafont,” says Matthieu Lafont, Philippe’s son and director of marketing. “We can guarantee that for the next thirty years and beyond, we will continue to dedicate ourselves to our partners by creating high quality, exceptional eyewear.” We can’t wait to see what else is in store! In the meantime, take a peek at the limited edition frame, below.
